WeylChem International GmbH is a marketing and sales organization. It is part of the fine chemicals platform WeylChem Group of Companies of the International Chemical Investors Group (ICIG). The fine chemicals produced there are mainly used as chemical intermediates for the production of crop protection products, active pharmaceutical ingredients, plastics, personal care products and detergents and cleaning agents. The company, which has around 15 employees, is based in Frankfurt-Fechenheim and is part of the WeylChem Group. With around 1,400 employees and an annual turnover of EUR 500 million, the WeylChem Group of Companies is one of the leading manufacturers of fine chemicals in Europe.

Sales Manager (m/f/d)

Position Overview:
WeylChem Group of Companies is seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales Manager to drive business growth in its fine chemicals focused Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO). This role will have a regional focus, with additional responsibility for selected key accounts. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in expanding customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and driving revenue growth within the core region.


  • Strategic Sales & Business Development: Identify, develop, and execute sales strategies to drive growth within the CDMO sector, ensuring alignment with the company's business objectives
  • Regional and Key Account Management: Manage and expand relationships with existing customers in Europe while identifying and developing key accounts. Own strategic account plan at the named key accounts and lead the derived activities with a clear road map with milestones
  • Customer Relationship Management: Act as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, ensuring exceptional service, satisfaction, and long-term partnerships
  • Market Analysis & Intelligence: Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify growth opportunities and adapt sales strategies accordingly
  • Technical Sales Support: Collaborate with R&D and technical teams to provide customers with tailored solutions and innovative approaches to contract manufacturing
  • Negotiations & Contract Management: Lead commercial negotiations, ensuring profitable agreements while maintaining strong client relationships. Further improve margin management and value based pricing activities
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including product management, R&D, production, and supply chain, to ensure seamless project execution and customer satisfaction
  • Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Track sales performance, prepare reports, and provide insights to senior management on sales activities, forecasts, and market trends

  • Education: Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Business Administration or a related field
  • Experience: Minimum 5+ years of experience in sales or business development within the CDMO, fine chemicals, pharmaceutical or related industries, that can further develop existing as well as new customers to support the needs of a growing business
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of the CDMO market, chemical manufacturing processes and regulatory requirements
  • Mindset: Business focus with a good balance of hunter mentality and professional farming of existing accounts
  • Sales & Negotiation Skills: Proven track record in B2B sales, strategic account management and commercial negotiations
  • Networking Abilities: Excellent networking skills required, an established network within the European chemical or pharmaceutical industry in Europe is a plus
  • Languages: Business fluent in English; German and French are an advantage, additional languages are a plus
  • Travel: Willingness to travel within the assigned region(s) as required
  • Communication: State-of-the-art communication and presentation abilities
