Founded in 1921, OLDENDORFF CARRIERS combines its history as a German shipowner with the network of one of the world's leading drybulk operators. We currently control some 700 chartered and owned vessels of 40 mio tdw, and we carry around 380 mio tons of raw materials and semi-finished products across the seven seas each year. We support our decision-makers in managing the world's largest dry bulk fleet by providing meaningful HR-related reports and analyses in close cooperation with the corporate controlling department.
We consider ourselves as business partners, and consequently you will not only prepare analyses and reports on request from the specialist departments, but also proactively develop analyses to identify risks and opportunities.
You take an active role in developing the scope of the position while closely cooperating with stakeholders and business partners within the company. Your expertise using state of the art analytical tools will support us achieving a high reporting standard.
It is also essential that you like to become part of a larger team, because we believe that teamwork plays a crucial role in being successful. You will be part of the global HR team, but you will work also closely with the Controlling Department toexchange experience and participate in general controlling events.
- Create and report on HR key performance indicators, forecasts, and ad-hoc reports, as well as harmonize company-wide evaluations
- Supporting personnel cost and budget planning
- Collaborate closely with corporate controlling to ensure reporting consistency across the company
- Data quality improvement – support the HR teams and other departments improving data quality
- Active involvement in the expansion of the current HR reporting (FTE, Overheads, Headcounts, Salary reviews etc.)
- Participation in the development and optimization of the HR information system (Workday) as subject matter expert
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field
- Several years of experience in a HR Controlling role
- Strong knowledge of financial regulations and HR best practices
- Previous experience working in an international environment
- Proficiency in using Excel and PowerBI/Tableau
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Proficiency in financial software and HR management systems
- Very good spoken and written English sklills
