We are seeking an Institutional Sales professional to accelerate our growth and drive new business at Munich Re Investment Partners. The sales manager must demonstrate a passion for sustainable and in particular climate investing for listed asset classes. Understanding demand, experience and proven sales access to institutional clients as well as strong commercial drive are key. Must be able to build robust sales pipeline, acquire and commercialize client investment mandates with a focus on Germany, Austria and other European markets.
Principal Duties:
- Build and implement sales plan for target clients and regions in scope with focus on direct sales.
- Manage marketing and sales activities for our suite of sustainable, climate investment solutions.
- Match client preferences with our investment products and manage client meetings, RfIs and RfPs.
- Grow sales pipeline, negotiate investment mandates and successfully close opportunities.
- Manage onboarding and after-sales client relationships.
- Be the “go to” person and trusted partner externally and internally for client Q&A including client mandate reporting and review meetings.
- You have 5+ years of experience in an institutional sales role, preferably investment management.
- You have a proven sales track record for acquiring investment management mandates.
- Excellent client communication and presentation skills, especially for face-to-face meetings with allocators such as CIOs, client investment, sustainability and research specialists and portfolio managers, investment committees and boards.
- Deep understanding of investment needs and buying criteria of institutional asset owners with sustainable and climate investment goals for listed asset classes.
- You are friendly, open minded and team oriented.
- You are fluent speaking and writing in at least English and German.
