QIAGEN has an exciting new vacancy for an (Associate) Account Manager in the Köln, Bonn, Aachen and Düsseldorf area. As part of the sales team in the molecular diagnostics area, you will be responsible for establishing, expanding and maintaining positive customer relationships.

Key responsibilities:

- Overall responsibility for sales in the territory, focusing on our innovative solutions for molecular diagnostics, as well as for the implementation of marketing plans and sales concepts.

- Establish, expand and maintain good customer relationships through regular visits, telephone calls/video conferences.

- Provide demos and customer trainings for small devices as required.

- Regular reporting and forecasting of relevant market figures for sales management.

- Maintain close cooperation with the sales team, product specialists, customer care, marketing and product management. This also includes organizing and supporting seminars and conferences.

- Active use and maintenance of the customer management system (Salesforce) for efficient planning and documentation of everyday work completes your area of ​​responsibility.


Position Requirements

- University degree (M.Sc. or Ph.D.) in a natural science, ideally with a focus on molecular biology.

- Sound experience of a wide range of molecular biology techniques such as: DNA and RNA extraction and manipulation, PCR, qPCR, miRNA, next generation sequencing, dPCR. Ability to use this understanding to analyze and improve workflows on a customer-specific basis.

- Ideally, existing experience in selling products that require explanation and knowledge of relevant markets (e.g., automation, molecular diagnostics, university hospitals, laboratory networks, laboratory diagnostics, pathogen diagnostics).

- Fluent in German and English essential.

- Space for a home office, driving license and willingness to travel across the territory around 80% of the time.
