MENCK is looking for a permanent Project Controller(m/w/d) 20 hrs/week and based at their facility in Kaltenkirchen, Germany.

The role of the Project Controller manages and monitors the financial aspects of our rental and sales projects to ensure they stay within budget and money wise on schedule by analyzing financial data, creating reports and working closely with project managers to ensure the successful completion of projects.


• Support in transferring offers to projects (Q > P) in our ERP system, including prior checking that all details are in line with the budget and the contract
• Alignment of revenues for rent, personnel and logistics within Rental & Sales projects
• Review of rental/sales contracts (drafts) regarding commercial aspects, with a focus on continuously improving commercial conditions and managing project profitability
• Invoicing according to contractual conditions, including recording of outstanding receivables
• System-supported updating of project data including invoice plans and revenue recognition
• Updating project forecasts according to requirements in coordination with the Project Manager and Financial Controller
• Checking that time charges are reconciled with the budget and that working hours and costs for deviations (non-conformity costs) are correctly posted
• Clarification of tax issues before, during and after the project (foreign WHT & VAT, other local taxes)
• Supporting project management in processing project-related insurance obligations and claims
• Processing of bank guarantees and letters of credit
• Handling of the stocks delivered to the project locations (enhance timely inventory counting and return to stock after project completion)


• Experience in finance (university degree in business administration or industrial engineering and/or similar professional experience)
• Knowledge of English and German (spoken and written fluent)
• High IT affinity, ideally experience with MS Dynamics NAV and JetReports
• Financial and contract awareness coupled with solid commercial experience
• Continuous professional development related to the finance qualifications and the specific role
• Ability to successfully mediate and negotiate with individuals and groups internally and externally
