Global DX - Business Partner (m/f/x) for Technology Unit
Purpose of the function:
In this role, you will oversee and lead strategic business partnerships and advocacy efforts with stakeholders within the Technology Unit (Tech). You will collaborate closely with the Head of Global BRM, as well as a global team of Business Relationship Managers (BRM) and Business Partners (BP), to drive alignment and innovation across the Technology Unit worldwide from digital transformation (DX) and information technology (IT) perspective.
The Technology Unit is responsible for Daiichi Sankyo's 'craftsmanship'. It develops the pharmaceutical technologies necessary to produce new drugs and is dedicated to ensuring product quality and a stable supply, from the investigational drugs used in clinical trials to the production of commercial products.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the Business Relationship Manager (BRM) team, fostering their professional development and growth
Create a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and team success - Establish and maintain strategic partnerships with business stakeholders to align shared visions and strategies with the digital transformation (DX) roadmap
- Serve as a trusted advisor and advocate for business stakeholders, ensuring their needs and objectives are understood and met by Global DX
- Balance business and global IT needs by aligning DX initiatives with overarching business goals
- Oversee the evaluation, sizing, and prioritization of Technology Unit requests, ensuring they are in line with strategic objectives and resource availability
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between the Technology Unit and Global DX through regular meetings, workshops, and strategy sessions
- Organize and lead cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and successful execution of DX projects
- Enhance demand management processes in collaboration with DX strategy and project management teams
- Measure and evaluate the business value delivered by DX initiatives, setting clear KPIs and collaborating with stakeholders to assess project success
- Support change management efforts to ensure the smooth adoption and integration of new technologies within the organization
- Provide guidance and support to stakeholders during transitions to new systems and processes
- Bachelor's Degree is essential, ideally in fields such as Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related discipline. An advanced degree or additional certifications in digital transformation or business management would be advantageous
- At least 5-8 years of working experience in business or DX roles
- Proven track record in leading teams, managing business relationships, and successfully implementing digital transformation projects
- Experience within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry is highly desirable, providing context and understanding of industry and Technology Unit (industrialization, production, distribution) specific challenges and opportunities.
- Ability to think strategically and apply the latest technological advancements to business contexts is critical. Candidates should demonstrate a history of leveraging technology to drive business growth and efficiency. Familiarity with digital transformation frameworks and methodologies is essential
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required to effectively interact with diverse teams and stakeholders. The candidate must be adept at navigating intercultural environments, building strong relationships, and acting as a liaison between business units and technology teams
- BRMP® Certification is preferred, demonstrating expertise in business relationship management
- Fluency in English and German is required to facilitate communication with stakeholders across different regions. Additional language skills would be beneficial and enhance the candidate's ability to operate in a global context
