For our office in Berlin Mitte we are looking for a
Data Scientist (m/f/d)
1. Development of predictive and statistical models to enable preparation of business decisions
- Development of effective tools to enable business teams to efficiently control processes and results (CRM/retention, portfolio optimisation)
- Independent data-based analysis of competitors environment and derivation of recommendations
- Analysis of customer portfolio data to improve risk acceptance criteria and to prepare requests for change
- Close collaboration with product and risk decision makers
2. Creation of complex reports, analyses and ad hoc evaluations to monitor business and channel development
- Capture business requirements and translate into data requirements
- Explore available data to ensure business and management obtain useful insights
- Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPI)
- Develop and optimize dashboards (e.g. power BI reports) from various sources of information
- Continuously monitor business KPI's versus the operative and long term planning
- Support Data Analysts with developing and optimization of key performance indicators (KPI)
- Automation of recurring analyses (e.g. matching sales results of campaigns)
3. Coordinate the further development of a company wide data architecture or administration of end user computing increments (EUDA)
4. Support for validation & quality assurance of company data to adhere to LBGs standards and procedures
5. Enhancement of analytical skills in the marketing and sales team to emphasize knowledge transfer
- Master degree in natural sciences / data sciences (e.g. data science, statistics, informatics, business informatics, business mathematics, mathematics, physics or equivalent discipline)
- Very good knowledge of statistics, econometrics, theory of probability, quantitative data analysis, data preparation and presentation
- Several years experiences in data science or data analysis
- Methodical skills of building economic and econometric models combined with efficient programming
- Extensive experience querying data using SAS, SQL and eventually Power Apps
- Knowledge of creating dashboards using PowerBI or 3rd party analytic software is a plus
- Experience in dealing with large data volumes and data warehouse technology
- Knowledge of the legal provisions on data protection (GDPR)
- Strong ability to work collaboratively in teams
- Very good knowledge of English and German
