As the Quality Management Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring the highest quality standards in the construction of large-scale solar and wind farm projects. You will lead a team of quality management professionals, develop and implement quality assurance and control processes, and ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies. Your role will be critical in minimizing risks, ensuring project deliverables meet quality benchmarks, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the construction department.
- Lead Quality Assurance Efforts: Oversee all aspects of quality assurance, including establishing metrics, applying best practices, and developing new tools and processes to ensure quality goals are met.
- Develop and Implement Quality Management Systems: Create and maintain quality management systems in accordance with industry standards and regulations, particularly aligning with ISO 9001 standards.
- Conduct Regular Audits and Inspections: Perform audits and inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with Project Teams: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate quality assurance processes into project plans.
- Manage and Mentor Quality Assurance Team: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of quality assurance professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Report to Head of Construction: Provide regular updates on daily activities and project quality status to the Head of Construction.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in quality management within the construction industry, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Strong understanding of quality assurance methodologies, tools, and processes relevant to construction.
- Proven ability to lead and develop a team, manage multiple projects, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and German.
- Certifications: Possession of European quality management certifications is preferred, such as:
- European Organization for Quality (EOQ) Certifications: Recognized across Europe, EOQ offers certifications like the Quality Management Technician (QMT) and Quality Manager (QM), which demonstrate a commitment to quality excellence.
- ISO 9001 Lead Auditor Certification: Demonstrates expertise in auditing quality management systems in accordance with ISO 9001 standards.
- Certified Construction Quality Manager (CCQM): Offered by the American Society for Quality (ASQ), this certification is relevant for professionals ensuring that construction projects adhere to rigorous quality standards throughout their lifecycle.
