Plan your next career move with us and start as a Scientist (m/f/d) for Digital Phenotyping at KWS SAAT SE & Co. KGaA. This is a permanent, full-time position starting on May 1, 2025, located at our headquarters in Einbeck, Southern Lower Saxony.
As a Scientist, you will shape the future of plant breeding by applying and developing digital phenotyping technology for our maize and oilseed crops.
Your Responsibilities - Challenge Meets Responsibility:
  • Coordinate international digital routine phenotyping application in field trials for maize and oilseed crops.
  • Develop new digital phenotyping methods in collaboration with breeders and technology experts.
  • Implement new technologies for breeding applications.
  • Collaborate with an international team of breeding stations, breeders, and researchers.

Your Profile - Competence Meets Personality:
  • Master's or Ph.D. in Agricultural Sciences, Plant Breeding, Agricultural Engineering, Geodesy, or related fields.
  • Ideally, you have some experience or interest in sensor technologies for phenotypic trait capture of plants and environmental characterization.
  • Experience in planning, conducting, and analyzing field trials is advantageous.
  • Excellent computer skills (MS Office) are essential; proven experience in statistical software (e.g., R), GIS, databases (e.g., SQL), and scientific software (e.g., Python) is a plus.
  • Excellent teamwork, organizational, initiative, and communication skills.
  • Fluent English is required for this role; German skills are a plus.
  • Willingness to travel worldwide (up to 25%).
