Commercial Director (m/f/d)

Join a fast-growing family-owned company with international reach (120 markets) searching for a dynamic & results-driven Commercial Director to drive growth across Central & Eastern European markets, the company's prime and fastest-growing region. We are looking for a seasoned sales and marketing professional with a proven track record in the fast-moving consumer goods sector, strong analytical & management skills, business acumen and a passion for developing ‘big ideas' that grow brands.

Working closely with the Head of International Sales & Exports, you will be an integral part of the group responsible for developing & deploying the business strategy and creating long-term value for the company's brand portfolio. In addition to building a high-performing team, you will manage existing distributor relationships and identify, negotiate and close future partnerships in key markets that align with the company's growth objectives.


YOUR TASKS:

  • Shape and execute a forward-thinking business, brand & portfolio strategy focused on market expansion, revenue growth and consumer engagement.
  • Identify and translate consumer needs into a robust product/brand initiatives pipeline, including NPD, ensuring a healthy balance between short & long-term portfolio initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-market teams on global brand platform development and execution, including communication and activation initiatives across European markets.
  • Develop and execute the regional sales strategy in collaboration with priority distribution partners, ensuring achievement of targets (sales, distribution, coverage).
  • Continuously assess brand business performance challenges & opportunities across the region, highlighting performance drivers from a market and consumer level to CEO and Head of International Sales & Exports.
  • Manage the distributor network, build new collaborations and negotiate contract terms in partnership with our legal department.


YOUR PROFILE:

  • B.A. plus 10+ years of marketing and sales experience in a consumer goods environment
  • Entrepreneurial thinking and a strong drive for results (individually and with teams)
  • Commercial acumen and demon strated ability to interpret & manage a P&L
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and executing business, consumer and sales strategies that drive growth in CPG
  • Analytical and conceptual thinking coupled with a creative mindset and passion for developing ‘big ideas' that grow brands
  • Strong negotiation skills and a proven ability to engage accessibly and concisely about partnerships, solutions, or products to external parties
  • Strong cross-functional project management skills
  • Proven track record of leading multi-disciplinary teams
  • Fluent in German and English and strong verbal and co-creation skills
  • The role requires regular international travel
