Working time: Full-time
- Evaluate and implement processes at the pilot scale and transfer them to the production scale, with technical responsibility for specifications, acceptance criteria, etc., for the Pilot Center or Global Operations.
- Develop and/or design machine layouts and production concepts (including technical responsibility for assortment in pilot production), considering safety, quality, efficiency, and sustainability.
- Support plants globally in troubleshooting, start-ups, and operator training.
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise pilot and/or production trials, serving as the technical lead for up to five operators during trials.
- Initiate and contribute to invention disclosures.
- Conduct literature and patent searches in consultation with relevant stakeholders and support FTO (Freedom to Operate) analysis from a technological perspective.
- Provide input to the relevant Technology Roadmap(s) and make investment recommendations for technology development.
- Actively build and maintain internal and external networks, focusing on technological aspects, including scouting and screening new technologies (e.g., suppliers, trade fairs, institutions, academia).
- Support the recruitment and technical guidance of students or apprentices.

Education/Experience: A Master's degree in Engineering or Science, with at least three years of relevant professional experience, is preferred. (A PhD is an advantage.)
- Proven hands-on capabilities and excellent technical comprehension.
- Willingness to travel both nationally and internationally.
- Ability to identify, assess, and solve complex problems.
- Foster curiosity, explore innovative ideas, and think creatively.
- Plan, organize, and manage resources effectively within projects while meeting deadlines.
- Handle complex projects and collaborate with stakeholders across various organizational levels.
- Communicate clearly with diverse audiences, both verbally and in writing.
- Fluent in English and proficient in German.
