We are looking for you to join us as Cyber Security Engineer (m/f/d) as soon as possible – at our headquarters in Munich, in Berlin or Halle (Saale) in a hybrid model, or fully remote from anywhere within Germany.
As a Cyber Security Engineer (m/f/d), you will take ownership of planning, implementing, and continuously improving technical IT security measures. The goal of this position is to take our IT security to the next level by leveraging innovative technologies and secure processes.
- Project Management: You independently design and successfully execute projects to improve our IT security – confidently driving them forward in a cross-functional and international environment.
- IT Security Measures & Processes: You are responsible for designing, implementing, and enhancing technical IT security measures across a broad spectrum, ranging from endpoints (EDR) and networks to servers, secure development (SAST, DAST), and web services (WAF).
- Compliance & Certifications: You lay the foundation for our recurring ISO27001 and PCI certifications by shaping and managing IT security processes such as SIEM, vulnerability scanning, and file integrity monitoring.
- Coding: You create small scripts and automations to consolidate and optimize our security tools and processes.
- IT Project Experience: You have at least 5 years of experience in IT, including a minimum of 3 years in IT security, and have successfully managed IT projects independently.
- IT Security & Certifications: You are passionate about IT security and excited to apply your knowledge across different IT areas while continuously developing your skills. Ideally, you already hold relevant certifications (such as CEH, OSCP, CISSP, CISM, CSSP, or Security+) or are interested in obtaining them.
- Compliance Knowledge: You are familiar with the fundamentals of ISO27001 and risk management and understand the critical role of compliance in IT security.
- Tool Expertise: You have solid IT infrastructure knowledge, particularly in areas like (Linux) servers, (Zero Trust) network security, web application firewalls, and Microsoft security tools.
- Innovation: You enjoy discovering and evaluating new technologies and processes, bringing corresponding security initiatives into practice. You also leverage your creativity to think like a hacker and identify unconventional attack patterns.
- Communication Skills: You have strong communication skills in English and are excited to collaborate with stakeholders from various departments (such as IT, DevOps, Legal) in an international work environment. You are also able to tailor your communication to your audience and confidently present IT security topics in a clear and engaging way.
