FPGA Electronics Design Engineer (m/f/d)
As part of the Electronics Department at OHB, you will be responsible for designing and testing FPGA firmware. Our electronic units control high-precision motors, actively reduce vibrations, process high-resolution image data, sensor signals, and more. - Analyze and define requirements for FPGA designs
- Develop design architecture and break down requirements into functional blocks
- Implement FPGA designs and define necessary constraints
- Create design documentation in compliance with internal and external normative standards
- Develop and execute test benches for RTL and timing simulations
- Perform formal verification of FPGA designs, including timing analysis, code coverage, and coding rule checks
- Support FPGA integration on target hardware
- Define verification concepts and plans
- Conduct FPGA verification and testing on target hardware
- Program test hardware for automated execution of hardware test cases
- University degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline (Technical University / University of Applied Sciences)
- Several years of professional experience in VHDL design for synthesis and behavioral modeling, preferably in the space industry
- Proficiency in using state-of-the-art design and simulation tools (e.g., Libero, Modelsim)
- Experience with FPGA design and verification according to ECSS-E-ST-20-40 and ECSS-Q-ST-60-02 standards
- Familiarity with mitigating single event effects caused by radiation
- Experience in implementing and verifying FPGA-based signal processing and control algorithms
- Knowledge of programming languages such as C/C++ or Python
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in teams
- Proficient in written and spoken English.Good written and oral English
