For our dynamically growing, innovative Cellular Therapy and Hematology team within an already estab­lished leading generic inter­national pharma­ceutical company, we are looking for a market access pro­fessional who will be engaged in all aspects of the busi­ness and development of our pro­ducts within the global market access Team. For our up­coming launches (ATMP) in the disease area of graft ver­sus host disease, you will be respon­sible for dri­ving the EU-HTA process / Joint Clinical Assess­ment with all steps of the EU Joint Clinical Assess­ment (EU HTA), like early advice pre­paration, dossier realization, assessment analysis, etc. This includes evidence collec­tion as well as the incorpo­ration of market access rele­vant ele­ments into the clinical develop­ment pro­gram, the develop­ment of pricing strate­gies and the launch of sequences for new products.

At our location in Wedel near Hamburg, we are looking for a Global Market Access Manager – EU HTA / JCA (m/f/d).


Major tasks and responsibilities

  • Develop an EU-JCA strategy and engage­ment plan for medac's up­coming inno­vative launches in cellular thera­pies and hema­tology
  • Drive PICO identification with the sup­port of medac's in-country market access mana­gers and external vendor support
  • Ensure adaptation of global value dossier and health eco­nomic evidence to meet EU-JCA requirements in collaboration with inter­nal stake­holders and external vendors
  • Interact with HTA agencies to defend EU-JCA submissions
  • Drive the Joint Scientific Consul­tation (JSC) process for medac's inno­vative products

General market access responsibilities

  • Provide strategic input into key clinical and medical activities
  • Participate in due diligence to critically assess product con­cepts in close colla­boration with all internal stakeholders
  • Gather and analyze information on competitor pro­ducts, pri­cing strate­gies, market posi­tioning, and market access tactics to inform the market access strategy
  • Track, collect and synthesize health eco­nomic data, out­comes research, and real-world evidence
  • Compile the early and in-market glo­bal access and pricing stra­tegy and sequence for appro­val by senior leadership
  • Develop and update market access input into the lifecycle product strategy

  • Academic degree in health economics, eco­nomics or natural sciences
  • Several years of pro­fessional expe­rience in a market access consultancy or in a market access role in the pharma­ceutical industry
  • Experience and proven track record in managing, creating, submit­ting and defen­ding dossier pro­jects and health eco­nomic evidence towards HTA agencies (focus on AMNOG); addi­tional experience in other European markets is a plus
  • Thorough understanding of health economic models and evidence
  • Team player, openness, and ability to work in a matrix
  • Intercultural competence, excel­lent skills in Eng­lish and German, excellent project manage­ment skills
