The DFG Emmy Noether-funded research group focusses on the mechanisms of Hypothalamic-Pituitary-Gonadal (HGP) axis regulation that governs human reproduction. We investigate early activity periods of the HPG axis, i.e. minipuberty and puberty. Combining clinical, large-scale genetic and single-nucleus approaches, the aim is to gain insight into reproductive disorders and fertility potential. Results will feed back into a discovery pipeline - ideally with you on board ! RESPONSIBILITIES: Involves single nucleus RNA-sequencing of Hypothalamic-Pituitary-Gonadal (HGP) axis tissue incl. spatial transcriptomics Functional follow-up of indentified targets REQUIREMENTS: PhD in natural sciences, life sciences or similar Experience with single-cell/single-nucleus RNA-seq techniques/Spatial transcriptomics Oral and written communication skills - English (required) and German (desired) Willingness to work effectively in an interdisciplinary team Communication and collaborative skills Willingness to learn computational biology/bioinformatics WE OFFER: An interesting and versatile workplace with challenging and exciting tasks and projects Career development in a multidisciplinary and committed research team For inquiries, please contact Dr. Dr. med.
