Our Short-term Power Trading desk is looking for You!
- Lead a team of intraday traders in 24/7 shift work and trading experts managing Central European countries
- Deliver commercial performance and operational excellence in the field of quantitative algorithmic trading & continuous power asset portfolio re-optimization
- Deliver solid P&L performance and operational excellence across Europe, focusing on continuous intraday trading (both asset-backed and proprietary), aFRR and mFRR energy bidding, and renewables short-term exposure management
- Collaborate closely with the Dispatching centers, Commercial Technology Group and Power Delivery Management. Communicate efficiently with external stakeholders (TSOs, NEMO, NRA…)
- Align approaches with UK and Nordic teams, improving trading performance and collaboration across Uniper
- Develop team members and structure, ensuring succession planning and adaptation to new market challenges
- Provide expert knowledge on regulatory and compliance rules, ensuring effective and safe operations
- Work effectively in a team environment, managing operational activities and project management to ensure efficient use of resources
- Relevant technical or economic degree or similar qualifications
- Proven track record in trading (5-7 years) and first leadership experience (e.g. functional lead)
- Deep understanding of the European Power market incl. short-term market channels, continuous trading and TSO rules
- Knowledge of ISMS, short-term operational requirements, compliance, and regulatory rules
- Strong operational leadership skills with the capability to structure work packages, team responsibilities and foster diversity
- Strong commercial orientation, excellent analytical skills with high accuracy and detail-orientation
- True team player, driven by challenge and passion to deliver value and results in changing environment
- Fluent in written and spoken English, speaking German, Swedish or Dutch is a plus
- Ability to work predominantly in the Düsseldorf office
