Credit Analyst – Corporate Banking (m/f/d)

- Risk Analysis:
- Ensure compliance with the internal risk appetite for corporate clients and internal policies.
- Understand and analyse the key risks associated with debt transactions.
- Conduct thorough financial analysis of potential clients to assess their creditworthiness and ability to repay loans. This includes evaluating financial statements, credit reports, and industry trends.
- Identify key issues, and implement appropriate deal structures and controls.
- Write high-quality credit papers and compile comprehensive reports.
- Present condense summaries of your credit analysis to senior management and other stakeholders for credit approval.
- Propose improvements to existing processes and tools.
- Document Review:
- Review Term Sheets, Non-Disclosure Agreements, and Loan Documentation.
- Raise Credit Policy Exceptions as required when there are deviations in the Loan Documentation to that of internal policies and the Lending Roadmap.
- Networking:
- Manage stakeholder relationships within the Corporate team as well as the wider Group.
- Build strong relationships with 2nd Line of Defence colleagues to ensure a comprehensive approach to risk management.
- Client Interaction:
- Engage with clients to gather necessary financial information and understand their borrowing needs.
- New Product Development Support
- Assist with the planning and delivery of new banking products, working closely with teams across Berlin, Amsterdam and London.
- Contribute to credit risk related workstreams within the corporate banking program.
- Collaborate with product managers to extent the product portfolio launching new lending products.
- Assist in the creation and implementation of credit policies and procedures for new products. Ensure these policies align with the bank's overall risk management framework.
- Postgraduate qualification in a relevant subject (e.g. business, economics, finance or similar)
- Several yreas of experience in Commercial Banking, preferably in an ECB-supervised institution
- Broad understanding of internal processes and knowledge of a wide variety of products suitable for Corporate clients.
- Good knowledge of MaRisk and EBA requirements for managing a bank's risk profile.
- Data analytics and programming skills (VBA, SQL, Python) are a plus.
- Awareness and understanding of the market environment in which Corporate clients operate
- Strong ability to communicate effectively at all levels and across different audiences. Excellent planning and organisational skills
- Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in German or Dutch is a plus.
