Senior Manager Strategic Scheduling (m/f/d) Remote
- Create an optimized base flight schedule for each season utilizing both flight profitability and operational requirements for Condor and Marabu's entire widebody and narrowbody fleets
- Build intentional network connectivity and communicates cross-functionally to ensure revenue management, sales, and cargo are actively selling enabled connections
- Coordinates with the scheduling team to ensure critical and major operational requirements are built into the base schedule before handing off the schedule to the scheduling team
- Works closely with network planning team on generating schedule scenarios to generate optimal flight plans while meeting aircraft utilization goals
- Maintains a fully rotated rolling 18-month schedule to be used for our out-for-sale schedule as well as company budgeting & statistics
- Actively solicits schedule feedback from network planning, revenue management, sales, cargo, and operations and determines best course of action based on feedback
- Seeks opportunities to optimize slot portfolio and works with slots team to develops strategic initiatives to enable Condor and Marabu's future growth
- Builds PowerPoint presentations to effectively communicate changes and initiatives in the flight schedule
- Takes on special projects as needed by management
- At least 3 years of professional experience in operational planning, logistics or network management at an airline
- At least 2 years of professional experience in a network flight scheduling function at an airline
- A self-starter who can quickly grasp and communicate complex issues
- Ability to work in a team and have strong negotiation skills
- Must be fluent in English, German language preferred but not required
- Very good computer skills, especially Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
- Expert knowledge of network flight scheduling tools (Netline, Sabre, Zulu, etc.)
