To reinforce our Expert Hub Direct Procurement (OPEX) Team at KWS Berlin GmbH and support our continuous activity development, we are seeking to recruit a motivated and committed Working Student (m/f/d) with a strong interest in Procurement and Supply Chain. The person will be helping out our strategic procurement department and team for a duration of at least 6 up to 24 months on weekly 20-hour basis.
You will assist our daily business in pursuing our ONEGLOBE vision. It will be working in an international environment with coworkers in Berlin and with our KWS entities across the globe.
To contribute to our vision:
For this purpose, you will lend a hand in our major daily work activities: strategic procurement project, service improvement, processes harmonization as well as sustainability and risk management.
- You support our Direct Procurement Experts to provide services for our different sites.
- Strategic direct procurement - you source, analyze and identify stakeholders, as well as develop and implement new sourcing strategies for our key categories such as packaging, seed treatments, logistics, waste management.
- Support on Risk and Sustainability initiatives such as Scope3 reporting, spend management and LkSG & CSDDD related projects.
- Cross-functional tasks will be appointed to you depending on your workload, interests and knowledge.
What you need to make a difference:
- Currently enrolled at the university in a bachelor or master's degree program in the field of Supply Chain, Economics, Mathematics or Law.
- You have an interest in the procurement field and enjoy working with numbers.
- English, and preferably German, language skills round your profile off.
- A high level of customer and service orientation is one of your strengths to succeed in this position
- High affinity for IT tools, including very good MS office skills (specifically PowerPoint and Excel)
- Effective analytical skills and autonomous, process-oriented working method
