Our client is one of the world's largest and most successful family-run companies in its field. Based in Germany, it develops and produces coating systems for various applications at its headquarters and several other European locations.

Our client has around 1500 employees worldwide and supplies its subsidiaries and partners in over 100 countries on all continents.


As General Manager North America (m/f/d), you will be responsible for creating a business strategy and a plan to restructure the company.

  • The focus is identifying growth opportunities in sales, building new customer relationships (business development), and strengthening and expanding the team.
  • You will have overall responsibility for P&L in North America.
  • You will manage the development and implementation of a growth strategy.
  • You will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with essential sales partners / key accounts.
  • You will lead and motivate a small team, gradually expanding to include additional sales colleagues.
  • Reporting to the head office in Germany rounds off your tasks.

  • You have a degree in business administration, ideally with an MBA or comparable education.
  • You can look back on several years of sales experience in the technical retail sector (hardware stores).
  • You have a proven track record of strategic sales growth and experience in leading and motivating high-performing teams.
  • Your entrepreneurial drive and hands-on mentality enable you to work strategically and operationally.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills and flexibility in dealing with different groups of people round off your profile.
