As our Director of IT Infrastructure* you are responsible for leading the design, implementation and management of the NOVUM Hospitality IT infrastructure. This includes networks, servers, cloud services, data centers, security systems and IT support services. You will ensure the reliability, security, scalability and efficiency of the IT systems while aligning the technology with the business objectives. The focus is on improving the IT infrastructure to support the business growth as well as to improve security and promote innovation.
You will also be responsible for the following tasks:
- Develop and implement the IT infrastructure strategies that align with business goals.
- Oversee the management, maintenance, and optimization of all IT infrastructure, including networks, cloud environments, servers, storage, and data centers.
- Ensure the IT infrastructure security and compliance with relevant regulations and best practices.
- Lead, mentor and develop a team of IT professionals, including network engineers, system administrators and IT support staff.
- Manage IT budgets, vendor relationships and service agreements.
- Develop and enforce policies and procedures related to IT operations, security and disaster recovery.
- Monitor system performance and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and reliability.
- Collaborate with business leaders to support digital transformation and emerging technology initiatives.
- Ensure high availability and performance of IT services to support business continuity.
- Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance IT capabilities.
- Working in close coordination with the Head of IT Applications, ensuring full alignment on mutually impacting projects
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Many years (at least 8+) of experience in IT infrastructure management, with several years (at least 3) in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of network administration, cloud computing (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud), cybersecurity and enterprise IT systems.
- Experience in IT service management (ITSM), disaster recovery planning and compliance standards (e.g., ISO 27001, GDPR, NIST).
- Proven experience in managing IT budgets and vendor negotiations.
- Excellent leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Good knowledge of German and English
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
