In the course of its strong growth, the Hasso Plattner Institute is looking for the earliest possible start date for a
Flagship Conference Producer (m/f/x)
The position is for a 1-year temporary (with the possibility of permanent employment) and full-time.
Lead High-Impact Events:
- Drive the strategic planning, design, and execution of prestigious HPI flagship conferences, focusing on key areas like Cybersecurity, Digital Health, and Artificial Intelligence
- Collaborate closely with conference chairs, providing comprehensive project management support, coordinating cross-functional teams, and ensuring timely project delivery and successful outcomes
Develop and Manage Key Relationships:
- Build and nurture strong relationships with high-level stakeholders in government, industry, academia, and civil society
- Actively identify and secure high-profile speakers from diverse sectors
- Design and implement impactful partner acquisition strategies, attracting key sponsors to support HPI flagship events
Conduct In-Depth Research and Create Compelling Content:
- Conduct in-depth research on emerging trends and societal challenges related to conference themes
- Develop compelling content, including speaker invitations, conference descriptions, and other event-related communications
Foster Collaboration and Cross-Departmental Success:
- Cultivate and live strong working relationships with relevant HPI departments and chairs to ensure seamless coordination and project success
- Successful completion of MSc with practical experience in event management and organization
- A solid understanding of computer science concepts and a strong desire to learn
- A deep knowledge of project and event management processes
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, coupled with a solution-oriented, structured, independent, and flexible approach to work
- A proven ability to build and maintain strong personal relationships with external partners
- Ability to multitask and work well under pressure
- Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills
- Highly creative and detail oriented
- Proficiency in common office software (Office systems, Adobe, MS Teams, etc.)
- Fluency in written and spoken German and English
