About the role

  • This leadership role ensures robust financial planning, analysis, and reporting across the organisation, driving strategic alignment and decision-making.
  • You will act as a trusted business partner, collaborating with senior leadership, managing directors, and teams across all segments. You will report into the Director Group Controlling & Risk.
  • The position combines global and strategic responsibilities with operational oversight, offering a dynamic mix of regular and ad hoc tasks.
  • You will lead a high-performing team, shaping and influencing the future of financial controlling within the organisation.

  • Master's degree or equivalent in finance, accounting, or a related field; advanced qualifications (e.g., CFA, CPA, ACA) are advantageous
  • Over 10 years of experience in senior Controlling, FP&A, or a similar financial leadership role
  • Proven expertise in integrated financial planning (P&L, cash flow, balance sheet) and proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP S/4HANA), financial software (e.g., Tagetik), and BI tools
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with a track record of building and leading high-performing teams
  • Advanced skills in financial modelling, analysis, and presenting insights to senior stakeholders
  • Fluent in both German and English

  • You lead the annual budgeting and forecasting processes across all segments, working with managing directors and leadership teams to establish financial targets and support restructuring initiatives
  • You review and evaluate investment cases across regions, providing insights into capital allocation, profitability, and overall business impact
  • You design and implement enhanced financial reporting systems, providing senior leadership and departments with timely and actionable insights into financial performance
  • You monitor financial KPIs, identify variances, and recommend strategies to address risks or capitalise on opportunities
  • You ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and maintain a robust internal control and governance framework
  • You mentor, lead, and develop a team of finance professionals, fostering a collaborative and results-driven environment
