Product Engineer Europe (m/f/d)
The product engineer directs, coordinates, and exercises functional authority for planning, organization, control, integration, and completion of engineering projects within the area of assigned responsibility to aid in the design and development of new products for various customers.
- Develop 3D models for individual components and assemblies.
- Employ finite element analysis (FEA) to enhance product design.
- Assist in creating test matrices for products and evaluate the resulting data.
- Maintain effective communication with customers and Datwyler team members through meetings, emails, and phone calls.
- Prepare reports and deliver technical presentations for customers and internal stakeholders.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of design Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
- Produce detailed drawings, ensuring accurate dimensioning and adherence to GD&T standards.
- Analyze technical issues and provide solutions, recommendations, and insights.
Challenges of the role:
- Gaining a comprehensive understanding of elastomers related to seal design and functionality.
- Developing and optimizing tailored solutions for diverse customer needs and product requests.
- Effectively managing and completing multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Clearly and concisely communicating solutions and results to both customers and team members.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical or Polymer Engineering.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
- Proficiency in 3D modeling and drafting.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience with finite element analysis (FEA).
- Preferred: Experience in rubber materials.
- Additional strengths: Background in plastics and basic electrical knowledge are advantageous.
- Fluency in German and English.
