Your Role
As our Category Specialist MRO (m/f/d) EMEA, you will partner with everyone to create and implement long-term Procurement strategies that support business goals. Your primary function is implementing sound, innovative supply strategies through market intelligence and risk analysis, sourcing, supplier selection, contract negotiation, and supplier performance management, using ADM's 7-step sourcing process. In your new role you will also come up with ways to make sure stakeholders are involved and decisions are based on important dates. The task involves preparing quote/proposal requests and bargaining for regional agreements in a range of MRO categories across ADM EMEA regions. This role mostly involves overseeing the procurement and management of repair and maintenance suppliers for our factories located in EMEA. As the Category Specialist, you'll collaborate with factory managers and maintenance teams to efficiently meet repair and maintenance needs and implement category strategies in Europe.
- Evaluate market intelligence, internal business goals and historical spend to determine strategic opportunities
- Establishing open communication channels with stakeholders to keep them informed about relevant developments, decisions, and progress. Achieve common goals and address shared challenges. Establish short and long-term category metrics and TCS savings targets, monitor performance, and communicate this to stakeholders.
- Prepare and issue RFI or RFP to qualified suppliers, analyze supplier responses and make data-driven sourcing recommendations. Apply E-Sourcing best practices to all sourcing events.
- Negotiate with suppliers about price, terms, quality, service, and other business needs. Make sure to meet their goals, handle supplier relationships, and lead quarterly business reviews.
- Collaborate closely with vendors to facilitate the expansion of contractual coverage, ensuring that a higher percentage of contractor spending is covered by contracts.
- Develop and implement process improvements and cost saving initiatives with suppliers.
- As the main contact for MRO categories, make sure to use leverage effectively. Collaborate with internal risk and compliance groups to ensure strategies are compliant.
- Act as a change agent and advocate for Procurement as a value added function.

Requirements:
- Master's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or relevant field
- Proven experience in procurement (min. 5 years) with at least 3 years within a regional or global category role
- Fluency in both English and German, both spoken and written. Knowing any other European language is a bonus
- Preferred experience in a multinational environment
- Extensive negotiation skills, experience in negotiation of complex agreements; commercial skills and familiarity with contract law
- High communication skills, ability to create and maintain professional relationship and engagement with high level stakeholders
- Capacity to develop advanced category strategies
- Technology adept (eProcurement and P2P systems)
- Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks efficiently and thoroughly
- You woll work well with others and find solutions to problems by collaborating with different people in the organization
- Be proactive in building and maintaining productive relationships with internal teams and external partners
