Your responsibilities:

  • The primary responsibilities of this role will be to build consistent and actionable management reporting tools and processes that provide visibility to key operational and financial performance metrics. This will require the ability to understand Bauer's data (e.g. financial data, billings and order data, CRM data), design reports, analyse data, and communicate results effectively to support business decision making.
  • Proactively find opportunities to improve, scale, and simplify finance tools and reporting across teams; develop scalable and efficient financial processes that support the business.
  • Communicate with finance business partners, accounting teams, and the corporate Finance team to provide clear and transparent insight. Identify key stakeholders and partner with them to automate reporting and processes, address pain points with innovative solutions.
  • Financial Analysis:  Provide thoughtful analysis of financial and operational performance metrics, including explanations of performance relative to prior periods, budgets, and forecasts. Analyse current and past trends in key performance. Perform a variety of financial activities including budgeting, forecasting, building financial models, assisting with financial planning, performing research and analysis, preparing reports, and working closely with the accounting team to assist with close processes.
  • Presentation Materials: Support communications with senior management, the Board of Directors through the preparation of clear, accurate, and actionable financial presentations materials. Assist with the compilation of presentations for budget and QBR reviews.
  • Systems support:  Support the transition to and implementation of systems and tools that improve our ability to execute FP&A objectives through the documentation of business requirements and participation in user acceptance testing. Serve as a super-user of key FP&A and Financial Reporting applications.

Your profile:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance or related field.
  • 7+ years in finance or accounting; experience in financial analysis.
  • Experience within a similar Media, e-commerce or FMCG business.
  • Experience in managing a strong budgeting and forecasting process, including long range plans with international teams, previous experience in leading/ownership of reporting, P&L management, budgeting, and cash flow/working capital.
  • Experience in using FP&A models and systems (SAP S4/HANA / SAC / PowerBI ideally), strong ability to use data and Excel.
  • Prior people management preferable.
  • Ability to manage a range of stakeholders and challenge/push back when necessary.
  • Experience and passion for leadership in projects, and with dispersed teams.
  • Excellent fluent spoken and written German.
  • Good spoken and written English – business level.
