Business Intelligence Solutions Engineer (m/f/d)
As a Business Intelligence Solutions Engineer you will be accountable for the delivery from business solution end to end from requirements gathering, through solution design and implementation till delivery to the stakeholder. This role combines technical and analytical skills to add value to business intelligence solutions.
- Interpreting Business Requirements: strong initiative and analytical capability to understand business requirements and information needs, assess feasibility and estimate development efforts,
- Designing Data Warehouse Solutions: design efficient and stable data warehouse solutions in strong cooperation with business users and other stakeholders
- Development: create and amend database objects and update and optimise complex procedures with a focus on performance
- Developing Reports: develop reporting solutions using Databricks, SQL and Power BI to establish regulatory reporting, standardized reports and company-wide Key Performance Indicators and dashboards
- Data Quality Management: monitor and maintain data quality on daily and ad hoc basis, identifying root causes and providing solutions. You will follow our testing and release process as part of an agile team
- Maintaining Stakeholder Relations: contact person within the BI team for new and existing solutions and will proactively coordinate activities from requirements and data collection, ELT processes within our data base, testing activities till final delivery.
- Understanding our portfolio and operations: gain a deep understanding in banking portfolio and processes and provide transparency with data solutions.
- Knowledge Sharing: support other colleagues in their tasks, write documentation and contribute proactively in agile sessions.
- Educated to a Bachelor's degree in Business studies and/or IT
- Several years of proven work experience as a data engineer and analyst in a BI / IT environment
- Proficient in PowerBI, SQL, Databricks notebook (Python and PySpark) being able to analyse and efficiently handle big data sets
- Functional understanding of data warehousing and ELT processes within Azure Cloud (Understanding on Databricks workflow, Unity catalogue and Databricks cluster configuration, ADF)
- Excellent business writing, presentation and facilitation skills
- Knowledge about Azure Cloud DevOps (CI/CD pipelines) is a plus
- Machine Learning Background is a plus
- Strong verbal and written communication skills English
