Export Team Lead / Supervisor (m/f/d)
The Export Team Lead is responsible for managing and overseeing the export operations of Immucor Medizinische Diagnostik GmbH. This role involves ensuring compliance with international trade regulations, supervising the preparation and processing of export documentation, and coordinating with various stakeholders such as customs officials, shippers, and clients. The Export Team Lead is also tasked with monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and improve export processes, conducting audits to ensure accurate record-keeping, and providing training and management of team members from the Export department.
- Oversee Export Operations: Oversee the management of the documentation processes required to export products in compliance with international, local, or country-specific regulations.
- Documentation and compliance: Ensure that all required documentation and calculations of freight rates are accurate and up-to-date.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the export team, provide guidance and support to achieve sales and operational goals.
- Connect with customers and customs: resolve issues and accelerate resolutions with customers, customs, and carriers.
- Performance monitoring: Monitor and analyze export performance and make data-driven decisions to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Coordination with logistics: Working closely with logistics and supply chain teams to ensure the timely delivery of goods.
- Proper maintenance of SAP information and shipping documents.
- Maintenance of procedures.
- Add creative insights and contribute to priority projects.
- Working with carriers, suppliers, shipyards, and supply chain departments to arrange shipments and ensure on-time delivery orders.
- Preparing the necessary export documents for outbound shipments and scheduling pickups or deliveries with all modes of transport.
- Leadership experience, at least multiple years.
- Proven ability to supervise and motivate subordinates.
- Preferably training in shipping or multiple years of experience and/or training in export; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- In-depth understanding of export and import processes
- Knowledge of export documentation and international customs regulations
- Excellent knowledge of German and English
- Proactive and customer-oriented approach
- Excellent problem-solving and customer support skills
- Good communication skills, attention to detail, and organizational skills required
- You must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to prioritize workload, multitask, and work under pressure
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products for word processing, reporting, and document creation (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
- Good knowledge of ERP systems
- High level of self-motivation and ability to work independently
