With a fleet of 287 modern container ships and a Vessel Capacity 2.2 million TEU, as well as a Container Capacity 3.2 million TEU including one of the world's largest and most modern reefer container fleets, Hapag-Lloyd is one of the world's leading liner shipping companies. In the Liner Shipping segment, the Company has around 13.500 employees and 400 offices in 139 countries. A total of 114 liner services worldwide ensure fast and reliable connections between more than 600 ports across the world. In the Terminal & Infrastructure segment, Hapag-Lloyd has stakes in 20 terminals in Europe, Latin America, the United States, India, and North Africa. The roughly 2.600 employees assigned to the Terminal & Infrastructure segment deal with terminal-related activities and provide complementary logistics services at selected locations.
- Analysis, optimization, and documentation of existing global processes
- Creation of accounting instructions in English and publication on the relevant accounting pages
- Support in coordinating the closing schedule for the monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial closing process
- Participation in the review and documentation of the SAP-FI chart of accounts
- Responsibility for master data maintenance for general ledger accounts in SAP-FI
- Collaboration with other departments to ensure efficient financial workflows
- Support in ensuring compliance with regulations and internal policies
- Participation in projects for process improvement and innovation
- Contribute to the S/4 HANA transformation project
- Support the RTR workstream lead in the S/4 HANA project for the successful implementation of new ERP software
- Apply best practices in the S/4 HANA project to enhance financial processes and improve efficiency
- A degree in business administration with a focus on Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Proven professional experience in finance, accounting, or process management, ideally within a global corporate environment
- In-depth knowledge of accounting processes, including process optimization and identifying areas for improvement
- Expertise in SAP-FI, with experience in master data management for GL accounts
- Hands-on experience with S/4 HANA and familiarity with best practices in S/4 HANA for financial processes would be a significant advantage
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive, results-driven approach to work
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments
- Enjoyment of teamwork and project work
- Reliability, team spirit, and resilience
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office applications
