HAPEV's Portfolio Management Team manages the investments of one of Germany's leading corporate pension plans. A team of fourteen investment professionals runs assets of more than EUR 13bn, out of which more than 2 bn are allocated to externally managed private equity and private debt strategies.

Analyst Private Equity / Private Debt (f/m/d)


  • Work closely together with other team members
  • Stay educated on private capital markets and conduct research towards current market developments and long-term trends to derive actional investment ideas
  • Take responsibility and be a key contributor in the due diligence process for new investments in funds and in bespoke managed account solutions (i.e. manager selection, commercial due diligence, involvement in legal and tax due diligence activities and monitoring)
  • Monitoring of the existing private equity and private debt portfolio
  • Drive and implement the evolution of our analytical tool- and skillset to continu-ously enhance the investment analysis, strategic allocations and portfolio com-positions
  • Participation in various investment related projects (e.g. digitalization)

  • University degree in finance, economics, business administration, mathematics, or engineering with a good degree or a banking education with a capital market specific qualification – e.g. – CFA or CAIA
  • Knowledge of the corporate finance toolkit (valuation, LBO, M&A and account-ing) with corresponding ability to implement know how in cash flow analysis and investment models
  • Curiosity and passion for alternative assets – preferably with first relevant indus-try experience in private equity/debt with banks, asset managers, pension funds, insurance, consulting or auditing companies
  • Independent, analytical and structured way of working
  • Communicative, stress-resistant team
  • Proficient in MS-Office, knowledge of programming languages (VBA, R, SQL) as well as Bloomberg advantageous
  • Fluent in English and German
