Equipment Engineer - Factor Europe

We are seeking a Equipment Engineer for our newest brand: Factor (factormeals.nl), a healthy, ready-to-heat meal delivery service. We are looking for an ambitious and energetic Equipment Engineer working with and leading maintenance operations to maintain and repair conveyance, automation and facilities equipment to support operations uptime and improve reliability of our systems.

We are looking for entrepreneurial minds who are passionate and result-driven, have a strong team-spirit and will take on the challenge to setup our new production facility.

  • Responsible for ensuring adherence to SLAs of Factor production equipment, manages relationship with OEMs and maintain equipment and parts inventory, track specs, order supplies, manage budget
  • Perform troubleshooting of assigned out of service equipment and correct issues, act as an escalation point for lower level technicians, and escalate to leadership and/or vendors as needed for additional troubleshooting.
  • Head up projects and drive continuous improvement strategies for the facility
  • Maintain compliance with all safety, food safety, and security standards.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and routine inspections on assigned conveyors, automation, robotics and ancillary equipment as needed.
  • Document all work in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) and ticketing systems as appropriate.
  • Hire and mentor maintenance personnel in developing appropriate skill sets and knowledge of equipment.
  • Lead root cause analysis of major downtime events.

  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar role, managing repair and maintenance of similar equipment (large kitchen, conveyor, automation, robotics, and/or refrigeration)
  • Advanced understanding of machinery and equipment.
  • Well-versed in recent OSHA regulations and compliance and qualified to handle electrical components, controls, and HVAC
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to read and understand basic schematics.
  • Fluent in German, and business-level of English
  • Excellent follow through, judgment, and common sense. "Make it happen" attitude.
  • Mechatronics associates or equivalent preferred.
