The Data Insights & AI team designs and builds analytics solutions to provide insightful answers to our colleagues worldwide. We work in small, cross-functional teams jointly with specialists across the business. You share an office with a diverse team of likeminded Data Engineers, Data Scientists, and Visualization Experts colleagues with in-depth knowledge about our business.
The Analytics Solution Owner (m/f/d) is the first point of contact for our business when it comes to data needs. For this position you would specifically work with business units from Commercial or Finance domains. You work at the intersection of a business's data needs and their translation into BI applications and data solutions. Working closely with their business counterparts, you lead the assessment of needs, identification of opportunities, and strategic planning and prioritization of initiatives. You conceptualize analytical solutions, outline and address data requirements, perform exploratory data analysis, and oversee cross-functional BI projects.
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with business partners and remains invested and curious about their business developments
- Work with business partners to identify and prioritize analytics solutions that will have a tangible impact on our business by reducing costs, improving revenue, or increasing quality
- Take on the role of an outside-in challenger to proactively identify data opportunities
- Create detailed concepts for analytics solutions and specifies associated data requirements with relevant IT teams, including data quality and governance aspects
- Develop implementation plans for analytics solutions, including setting goals, timelines, and prioritizing projects based on business impact and feasibility
- Oversee and coordinate the technical implementation of BI applications and data solutions to ensure they are deployed effectively and are usable by non-technical business users
- Participate in and lead cross-functional projects involving data science and IT teams
- Ensure that colleagues in the Data & Analytics community and across the business are sufficiently empowered to use BI applications and solutions
- Monitor the performance and usage of deployed analytics solutions on a regular basis, coordinating maintenance and enhancements as needed
- Perform exploratory and ad hoc data analysis
- Excited about applying your technical and analytical expertise to the world of global logistics
- You hold a bachelor's or master's degree in business administration, economics, business informatics, or a related field
- You have a track record of success as a business analyst or product owner for analytical solutions
- You can present results to your team and our business stakeholders in an understandable and compelling way
- Your work style is assertive, goal-oriented and pragmatic - as a team player, you value close collaboration within your team and in international project groups
- In addition to excellent Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills, you bring some experience with BI tools such as Qlik Sense, Tableau, Power BI or Alteryx and are interested in expanding your knowledge even further
Ideally, you have experience with agile development practices - If you have worked with JIRA, that would be a plus
- Excellent verbal and written English skills complement your profile
