Financial Controller (m/f/d)
Location: Berlin
- Prepare monthly management accounts and internal reports for senior management
- Compile and submit quarterly reporting packages to the corporate controlling team at HQ
- Support the group audit by providing necessary information and coordinating with the corporate team
- Take full responsibility for the statutory financial statements, including coordinating their preparation and managing the review process with external auditors
- Report directly to the Head of Finance of the business unit and ensure alignment with their guidance and expectations
- Oversee and ensure implementation of company policies across financial control operations
- Monitor and ensure quality control within the financial bookkeeping department
- Work closely with the tax department to ensure all reporting obligations, including VAT and CIT, are met accurately and on time
- Support M&A and financing activities with accurate financial insights and reporting
- Degree in accounting, finance, economics, or a related field
- Professional experience as:
- Ex-Big 4 (Senior, Assistant Manager, or Manager), or
- Assistant Financial Controller / Financial Controller in a similar role
- Fluency in both German and English is mandatory
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures, including consolidation processes.
- Knowledge of HGB GAAP and IFRS
- Experience with SAP S/4 HANA is an advantage
- Proven ability to manage statutory financial statement processes and work effectively with external auditors
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to ensure accuracy in financial reporting
