At this moment, we are looking for an ICS Infrastructure Manager at our ECO3 production site in Wiesbaden, Germany.
The ICS Infrastructure Specialist manages, coordinates, and supports the Wiesbaden manufacturing site on all ICS-related activities including information provision (application-related) and ICS infrastructure domains. This will include network infrastructure as well as servers, printers, network shares and communication infrastructure (e.g. phones) in order for the Wiesbaden manufacturing site to achieve its production goals without disruption or lack of ICS infrastructure.
Support
- Render advice and assistance in infrastructure related matters
- Analyse and coordinate solutions to application problems (incident handling) to restore service for end-users in appropriate timescales
- Make sure the critical manufacturing site support is covered for ICS matters on a 24/7 basis
- Act as the contact person for local manufacturing application topics in the Wiesbaden manufacturing site
- Provide advice and guidance to users on the effective use of the installed services, specific facilities, and potential improvements/extensions of functionality (service requests)
- Problem management: find root causes and start actions for future prevention and optimize support effort
- Analyse, describe and implement best-practice ICS infrastructure solutions within a global context for manufacturing-related processes
- Responsible for all ICS Infrastructure-related consultancy towards the business, including training of key/end-users and/or ICS colleagues
- Act as 'key contact' for all ICS related external suppliers including the management of contracts, contract negotiations, contract performance and compliance and issues associated with finance and payment
Coordination
- Coordinate local service issues. Monitor ICS issues on the Wiesbaden site and global issues affecting Wiesbaden, ensuring the correct competency centres are involved where necessary and liaising with the ICS/Service Managers on escalations
- Coordinate all ICS operations locally
- Arrange for third-party support where necessary, in a cost-effective way to ensure support standards are maintained in accordance with business requirements and defined SLAs
Projects
- Involvement in infrastructure related projects for Wiesbaden where required
- Define business requirements in coordination with the Wiesbaden business for Wiesbaden infrastructure related projects and give guidance to developers where appropriate for local application developments
- Ensure ICS solution meets business requirements and business uses ICS solutions as defined
Management
- Initiate local ICS improvements when there is a necessary business case, in conjunction with the ECO3 ICS Infrastructure manager and the 3d party competency centres if required
- Make sure the solution design is as cost-effective as possible without neglecting important business requirements
Regional IT - Europe
- Act as the first point of contact for the different offices in the Europe region
- Provide support during escalations and act as the primary contact with the external service providers
- Assist in regional infrastructure projects and workplace related initiatives
- Assist in trainings for local teams
- Act as a security ambassador for the regional teams
- Bachelor or master's degree in engineering or computer science
- Min. 3-5 years of experience as a systems engineer in a similar environment
- Ability to perform in-depth Systems analysis, translate findings into documentation, and make cost- effective improvement recommendations
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with various "players" in the organization
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing (English)
- Advanced language skills in German
- "Multi-tasking" capability (being able to work on multiple initiatives, considering the business priorities)
- Flexibility to work unscheduled hours
- Be quality-minded strive for constant quality and efficiency improvement; propose proactive measures to avoid quality issues
- LAN/WAN administration in a modern environment, knowledge of Cisco, Juniper and FortiGate equipment is an advantage
- Administration of a Windows AD environment
