As a Business Development Manager your role will include the following tasks:
- Convince decision-makers from global market leaders and hidden champions to participate in our national, European, and US-based B2B conferences by understanding their needs and offering tailored solutions.
- Research markets and identify industry trends to communicate relevant topics to target audiences and specifically address C-level executives.
- Manage the entire sales cycle, from identifying potential clients to negotiating, on-site engagement, and securing repeat bookings to build long-term business relationships.
- Collaborate closely with your project team from Marketing, Conference Production, and Event Operations to meet the individual requirements of clients and ensure the success of the events.
- Plan and execute campaigns within the framework of multi-project management to successfully position and deliver our B2B conferences to clients.
- Manage your customer database, actively track sales opportunities, and build networks with both existing and new clients.
To succeed in this role, you should bring:
- A university degree in business administration, communications, humanities, or impress us with an unconventional background.
- Motivation, excellent communication and persuasion skills, and a customer-oriented personality.
- Ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships and enjoy working with people.
- Enthusiasm for proactive phone sales and supporting our clients across various event formats, whether live or digital.
- Structured and independent work style, quick comprehension, and analytical skills to identify client needs.
- Fluency English is essential (C1+)
Nice to Have
- Initial experience in sales or client management, ideally in the B2B sector.
- Familiarity with campaign management, sales, and project management tools.
- Interest in technology, digital, and software topics.
