At Otto Group data.works, we are passionate about innovation and pushing technological boundaries. Our team, consisting of around 40 tech enthusiasts, develops data and AI products for various Otto Group companies. Our broad portfolio includes the provision of data & machine learning solutions, the design and implementation of cloud-native data platforms and support in tech consulting projects. Our agile teams consist of product owners, data scientists and data engineers. Tech stack:

- You design, develop and operate high-performance data pipelines on the Google Cloud to supply the central data platform with high-quality data in real time, optimize product rankings, create filter recommendations, etc.
- You build and operate tools and APIs to provide our data to colleagues and online stores of the Otto Group so that they can address our customers individually and personalized.
- You design high-performance, secure and efficient machine learning and GenAI services in our cross-functional teams.
- Together with your colleagues, you will continuously research new technologies and thus have the opportunity to make your solutions and systems even better.

Must-have:
- Solid knowledge of software development with Java or Python
- Sound experience with SQL as well as a confident handling of relational database systems such as BigQuery, PostgreSQL or MySQL
- Experience in the development of scalable cloud solutions based on GCP or AWS
- An agile mindset and the motivation to constantly develop yourself, the team and our products further
- Reliable methodical approach: Your software is characterized by clean object-oriented or functional design, testing and good monitorability.
- Language level: German B2 (independent use of language) and English C1 (competent use of language)
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with other programming languages such as Go, Scala and CI/CD (e.g. via GitHub)
- Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation
