Unit description
The department Health, Safety and Environment ensures and supports HSE compliance for the units Grid Field Operations and Large Projects based on TenneT guidelines and principles. Furthermore, the team supports establishing a top class safety culture and environment in which it is possible for everyone to go home safe every day.TenneT is growing fast to realize its strategic ambitions. We play a leading role in driving the energy transition. We are looking for a passionate Lead HSE Offshore 2GW (m/f/d) at our location Hanover who will contribute to this and that might be you?

The Team Health, Safety & Environment Offshore 2GW provides HSE support to projects and operations in the 2GW project. It supports daily activities, helps in integrating HSE requirements in all steps of the project, can answer to specific HSE requests and perform HSE events investigations.
- As Lead HSE Offshore 2GW (m/f/d), you manage a team of around eight HSE professionals, ensuring a consistent approach and collaborating with other HSE teams to enhance TenneT's HSE Management system
- You set ambitious goals aligned with TenneT's HSE strategies, leading your team to achieve them while ensuring members have the skills, training and resources needed to succeed
- Clear priorities are established and communicated by you, keeping the team informed of changes, delegating tasks and managing resources effectively
- Through coaching and inspiration, you foster a culture of collaboration, teamwork, and continuous learning within your team
- Reporting to the Head of HSE Offshore Germany, you maintain regular exchanges with the 2GW department to deepen and consolidate shared learnings
- This position requires a University degree (FH/H) in Safety engineering, Environmental engineering or comparable qualification
- You have several years working experience in general, in HSE and preferably in a leading position and you have taken part in the management of major projects and have demonstrable project management skills
- It is desirable to have a Certificate as Expert for Safety (“Fachkraft für Arbeitssicherheit“)
- You have a strong values-based leadership mentality - demonstrably with a practical and theoretical background inclusive encouraging a team culture of continuous learning and fostering open dialogues
- You have well-developed networking skills to address different groups of employees and stakeholders, excellent analytical skills, a structured way of working, orientation on results and a well-developed conceptual approach
- You have an active "hands on" mentality, you are dynamic, enthusiastic, intrinsically motivated and take responsibility and very good communication skills in German and English (both written and spoken)
