The Country Controller reports directly to the Regional Controller.

This role provides financial leadership to the country manager located in Romania and sales teams in Romania, Bulgaria and Hungary (Export East).

The role will be based in our EMEA HQ Office in Hannover, Germany.

What you will do

  • Prepare and analyze income statement and balance sheet reporting for month-end activities, rolling forecast and budget for the related commercial activities within the region

  • Review and report monthly variance against prior year, forecast & budget

  • Manage and conduct regular reviews for month-end actuals deliverables, rolling forecast and budget for Romania, Bulgaria and Hungary with the regional management team

  • Monitor and audit customer reimbursements, related contracts and ensure full compliance in accounting records

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of local strategies in compliance with corporate policies enhancing business growth and customer profitability within the region

  • Head up for collection, analysis, presentation, and distribution of financial information required by Regional Management team.

  • Work closely with Regional Business Center (BBC) coordinating and monitoring the accounting functions and procedures impacting on the Legal Entities under own responsibility (BBC team supports for Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payables and G/L Accounting).

  • Conduct regular business reviews, set benchmarking, offer audits, cash flow analysis and profitability reviews on customer and product level

  • Enforce internal controls ensuring SOX compliance and improve local processes


What we look for

  • University degree, ideally in business administration, accounting or finance

  • Professional experience in Finance, preferably in an international organization

  • Customer focused, both internal and external and business acumen

  • Accountable and drive for results

  • Affinity with Excel and SAP is an advantage

  • Excellent command of written and spoken English

  • Strong technical and analytical skills
