Currently we are looking for a Sales Trader (m/f/d) to join our Renewable Gas business, focusing on the German market.
TEAM AND ROLE
The Renewable Gas Desk has grown to be one of the key trading desks in the business. Today, our mission is: to be a catalyst in the development of the environmental markets. This means helping customers facing difficulties in achieving their environmental targets. We facilitate the transition from fossil fuels to renewable alternatives and as a Sales Trader (m/f/d), you will work directly with utilities, corporates, biomethane producers and other wholesale trading parties amongst others. The German market is the largest and most complex market which is why the role entails a high level of analytical skills combined with great interpersonal ability. You'll be responsible for developing an in-depth understanding of the market requirements, trading flows, counterparties, structuring tailor-made solutions, and ultimately generating deal flow for the wider desk.
- Become one of the key commercial operators of our German team with client-facing exposure from the start. You are here to do deals.
- Develop an in-depth understanding of the market requirements and develop STX's presence in the German Biomethane market.
- Understand the value drivers of renewable gas projects and drive commercial development, working with both new and existing customers.
- Ensure presence in the market. This means travelling to build relationships, attending trade fairs, conferences, and other market-related gatherings.
- Opportunity to co-shape the German trading business.
- At least 3 years of commercial experience in either sales, shipping, trading, business development, or account management, ideally in connection with commodities, especially biomethane experience.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in business, economics or STEM.
- Analytical mind, strong communication skills, collaborative and proactive.
- Native in German, fluent in English - French is considered a strong advantage.
- Living or willing to relocate to Amsterdam, Netherlands.
