The Perception & Maps department at Mercedes-Benz Research & Development in Sindelfingen, Germany develops advanced sensing systems and real-time algorithms as part of future ADAS & autonomous driving systems. Therefore, the development requires a platform to access large-scale data to enable a data-driven development as part of a company-wide initiative. The data domain of this initiative in particular focuses on providing interfaces of data from a self-driving car software stack in terms of data visualization, data curation, and data access.
In addition to the development of this data interfaces itself, further topics to enable and organize the development process of multiple scrum-oriented data teams are required. Thereby, it is crucial to optimize these additional topics in an automated way to focus on an efficient development process.
We are looking for a highly motivated individual to help us to develop and automate the development process of our company-wide data initiative as part of an agile, international, interdisciplinary, and goal-oriented project team.
You will master these tasks:
- Implementation and automation of development and scrum processes by interacting with APIs of platform tools like Jira & Confluence
- Implementation of an automated monitoring- and notification-landscape of the data interfaces
- Project engineering support for organizing the collaboration between multiple teams
- Preparation of the communication towards the teams and the project
- Advanced skills in programming with script-languages, especially python
- Basic knowledge of server-client based communication technologies like REST APIs
- Advanced knowledge of version control systems like git
- Basic knowledge of CI/CD and DevOps platforms like gitlab or Jenkins
- Advanced skills in MS Office, especially PowerPoint
- Ability to work in a structured and independent manner
- Motivation for working on complex topics and shaping the future of data-driven development
- Very good communication skills and proficiency in English and German
