- Develop, implement and execute strategically aligned professional education High Level Need plans to successfully educate healthcare professionals (HCP) and healthcare organizations (HCO) on procedure training as well as the safe and effective use of Olympus products and services in close cooperation with the ESD/TSD business units, Marketing, Medical Affairs and external stakeholders
- Manage training center
- Regionally initiate internal processes to comply with healthcare compliance, legal requirements and policies/standard operating procedures to deliver blended learning and virtual (incl. hybrid) training curricula for a specific product line
- Be in charge of contracting course faculty (HCP), hospitals (HCO) and other partners in close cooperation with the Contract Management team at Olympus Business Services (OBSE)
- Manage participants during course enrollment within Learning Management System and during course facilitation virtually and/or in-person
- Prepare and set up course elements, e.g., lectures, hands-on stations, live transmissions
- Collect and process data to report according to internal processes and external legal requirements in close cooperation with MSA functions and global PA Governance
- Regionally support in setting up training needs assessment, ensuring strategic prioritization, resource planning and overall execution of MSA training strategy and support to design, govern and ensure maintenance of innovative training approaches and tools to facilitate engagement across learners
- Regionally support the overall global strategic direction, prioritization and deliverables of a training curriculum aligned to MSA core deliverables and business priorities
- Be the point of contact with Medical and Scientific Affairs functions globally/regionally to ensure alignment with business objectives and priorities when developing and maintaining the training strategies and resources to ensure Olympus product competences
- Globally support the development and implementation of training curriculum evaluation processes and establishment of key performance and quality measures to evaluate training curricula effectiveness
- Support the global/regional training and curriculum budget calculation, incl. forecasting of future financial and resource needs as well as execution of strategic and tactical training plans
- Regionally identify, engage and audit faculty to support the development and execution of educational activities
- Follow up on invoices and documents for Professional Education activities with all partners to close course organization and budget
- BA/BS degree in Life Sciences or related field, Registered Nurse OR/Endoscopy Unit
- MBA, MA/MS degree in life sciences or related field preferred
- Clinical and/or product competence for GI and/or Respiratory (Pulmonology) preferred
- Several years of device, pharmaceutical industry or healthcare experience with preferably training and curriculum development experience
- Experience working in a device company along with knowledge in Olympus therapeutic areas of interest
- Experience implementing curriculum and training plans, strategies, global practices, policies and processes
- Experience in training needs assessment, strategic training prioritization, resource planning and overall execution of training strategies to support innovative training approaches and use of training tools to facilitate engagement across learners
- Knowledge of and experience with adult learning principles/platforms, performance improvement as well as learning management systems and operations
- Good understanding of product development and launch strategy, R&D, clinical landscape and publications as well as well-developed commercial acumen for cross functional collaboration
- Ability to think strategically, critically analyze and synthesize complicated data as well as scientific and business information
- Strong consulting, facilitation and communication skills bridging between scientific and business unit priorities to manage effective international and cross-divisional collaboration
- Impeccable attention to detail and ability to complete writing assignments in a timely manner with minimal oversight
- Successful track record of managing and balancing multiple projects with overlapping timelines in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment
- Track record of successful partnership and collaboration with key stakeholders and business partners
- Strong interpersonal skills as well as outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Experience working in a global cross-functional team (functional/matrix) environment and experience working with groups with varied cultural backgrounds and learning styles
