ISCC – International Sustainability and Carbon Certification is a globally applicable and leading certification system designed to enhance traceable, sustainable, deforestation-free, and climate-friendly supply chains. ISCC certifications are widely recognised and cover sustainable agricultural biomass, biogenic wastes and residues, non-biological renewable materials and recycled carbon-based materials. The development and implementation of different certification standards is ISCC's tool to promote its mission to mitigate climate change and bring more traceability into global markets and supply chains. To date, ISCC holds more than 11,300 valid certificates in 129 countries.

ISCC – International Sustainability and Carbon Certification is one of the leading certification systems for sustainability, traceability and the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions. If you are passionate about sustainability and would like to join our highly motivated and diverse teams to make a difference, we are looking forward to welcoming you as Sustainability Manager – Sustainable Fuels in our team at the ISCC head office in Cologne.
Your main duties will be:
- You will support in developing the ISCC scheme with regard to new legislation and market requirements in the field of sustainable fuels
- You will monitor relevant legislation in the fields of sustainable aviation, shipping, and road transport and assess its implications for ISCC certification
- You will develop and implement certification requirements to align with legal requirements and to strengthen the integrity of the scheme
- You will develop and update ISCC system documents, audit procedures, training materials
- You will establish and maintain good working relations with relevant stakeholders from across sectors, including Government, NGOs, Academia and companies along the fuels value chain
- You will represent ISCC at external events (e.g. conferences, stakeholder meetings)
- University degree in economics, law, business management, chemistry, bio-economy, agricultural economics or another related field
- At least 3 years of professional experience after graduation
- At least 2 years of relevant professional experience within the industry (e.g. certification organisations, stakeholder associations, company applying relevant certification) for similar topics
- Proven professional experience in the fields of SAF, LCAF, marine fuels, RFNBOs or bio-methane/bio-LNG will be of great advantage
- Proven professional experience in project management
- Excellent communication skills in an international environment with stakeholders at all levels
- Excellent language skills in English (at least C1) good German skills will be of advantage
- Service-oriented thinking and excellent networking capability, especially in international environments
- Very strong presentation skills as well as the ability to explain complex issues in simple terms and to prepare professional presentations according to target group
- General IT proficiency and good working knowledge in MS Office
- High degree of initiative and very good decision-making ability combined with an independent working style and pragmatic, hands-on attitude
- Willingness to contribute to the continuous improvement process and to drive change
- Willingness and ability to travel internationally
