Mercedes-Benz Cars Research and Development designs the automotive generation of the future. In addition to electrified driving, infotainment, driver assistance and connectivity, body electronics more and more drives the customer experience. Comfort and luxury of the premium brand Mercedes-Benz is clearly determines by its body and comfort systems.
As part of MB.OS, we are building a new software development organization with the aspiration to bring leading edge software engineering to the soul of the vehicle to accelerate innovation in body and comfort. We want to push boundaries with respect to speed of innovation and software dependability.
For this mission we are looking for a function & software developer, as part of a powerful team, will help shape the next generation of control unit software in the Body & Comfort area.
Your tasks include:
- Develop the software function keyless go (including smartphone features) in compliance with applicable standards (A-SPICE, ISO26262 etc.)
- Design the architecture for the software function keyless go
- Implement the software through suitable modeling (model-based) and/or hand code implementation
- Create complete software using CI/CD pipeline to integrate the software on the embedded controller
- Implement automated tests on unit and integrated software level (MiL, SiL, HiL etc.)
- Trace and debug the software function in the test environment and on the embedded target
- Spread your knowledge and experience in the team
What you bring to the table:
- Experience in embedded software engineering, ideally in the automotive domain throughout all process steps in the V-model
- Experience in AUTOSAR, ideally Vector stack & function and software development (model-based & hand code)
- Experience in functions in the domain body & comfort, especially in keyless go & central locking
- Understand the requirements of ISO26262 on automotive software development
- Passion for state-of-the art software engineering practices such as CI/CD, TDD, Everything-as-Code, DevOps
- Excitement for being part of something new, building a new organization from the scratch
- Readiness to accept challenges and push the boundaries
- Mind-winning personality with enthusiasm to spread her/his knowledge and experience in the team
- Degree in engineering, computer science, information systems or relevant skills acquired in previous occupation
