  • As an intern you gain firsthand experience in (Debt) Capital Markets and are a part of our Financial Institution Group (FIG) origination team working with clients and originating bond mandates.
  • You work side by side with our DCM originators, helping them win new business, get insights into deal preparation, execution, and all other aspects of our work.
  • Naturally you take on responsibilities, such as producing pitch books, analysing various market sources to identify key opportunities or coordinating and preparing market and pricing updates.
  • Additionally, you collaborate with internal stakeholders to enhance cooperation and maximise cross-selling while also building your own network and contributing your fresh and innovative ideas to our DCM product development, e. g. for DCM Syndicate, ESG advisory, FM Research & Sales or Capital Structuring & Advisory.
  • Throughout your internship we teach you all the skills and techniques, train you in key tools like Bloomberg, Thomson Reuters (Elon, One Banker, Datastream) or SNL and most importantly you will learn by actively participating in our work surrounding DCM.

  • Enrolled in a Master‘s program in economics, finance or similar, or in a gap year between Bachelor‘s and Master‘s degree studies
  • Demonstrable affinity with Corporate Finance and Financial Markets
  • Basic macro-economic knowledge to thoroughly understand the market and identify opportunities, familiarity with international bond markets and fixed income instruments
  • Fundamental understanding of the German and broader European banking landscape
  • Advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills, VBA is a bonus and preferably also experienced with Bloomberg Terminal
  • Ability to deal with (time) pressure and tight deadlines, excellent communication skills and willingness to go the extra mile
  • Fluent in English both written and spoken
