Senior Network Operations Engineer (w/m/d)
You ensure stable and reliable IXP and global interconnection services and take over responsibility for the effective operation and maintenance of our optical, switching and routing platform. You will be mainly in charge for:
- Addressing network escalations, conducting troubleshooting, fault analysis and repairing as well as providing technical leadership during major incidents and strive quickly resolve complex network incidents
- Interfacing with existing relevant departments to ensure optimal service and network performance
- Improving current processes and workflows
- Designing and contributing to automation projects and developing tools to increase effiency
- Influencing the strategies of peer teams ensuring that their strategic plans are in alignment with the technical direction of Network Operations strategy and architecture

- Solid experience in working in the networking industry on the engineering side, including several years in either a large IT shared services organization or telecom service provider environment.
- Strong understanding of hardware and transmission technologies (e.g., cabling, optical fiber, WAN, and transport, etc.) as well as and comprehension of the TCP/IP model and their usage principles
- You have expert level knowledge of Networking Protocols and Technologies (Ethernet, BGP, OSPF, Nokia HW, QoS etc.) and are familiar with Linux. Additionally, you are proficient in software development
