Associate Capital Markets & Advisory – Early Career Group, Homebase Corporate Finance (M&A) (f/m/x) in Frankfurt

ING Wholesale Banking Germany is the corporate banking segment of ING Germany. In our "Early Career Group" graduate program, you will delve deep into our daily business: Your homebase is in "Corporate Finance (M&A)" where you'll build and expand your skills while developing both professionally and personally. Along the way you'll have the opportunity to rotate to other teams in Capital Markets & Advisory for 6-12 months at a time to broaden your horizons and sharpen your skills.   • From day one, you are an integral part of the ECG and its concept, gradually immerse yourself in our day-to-day operations and work alongside our Senior Specialists in all aspects of client advisory and management.
  • You learn from your experienced colleagues how we prepare pitches and proposals for existing and new customers and quickly take on your own responsibility, e.g. for careful analyses (e.g. rating analyses or on financial modelling). We can also quickly count on you for ad-hoc projects and analyses.
  • Be it project execution on sell- and buy-side projects including preparing customary marketing materials, client interaction, financial analyses, client reports, the virtual dataromm or investor management: You get to know every part of our work and sharpen your skills in the areas you are suited for best.
  • To gain leadership experience you take over additional responsibility towards clients or senior stakeholder within the bank and act as the first point of contact for our interns and analysts.
  • Staying informed about current market developments, you prepare corresponding market and (pricing) updates.
  • Additionally, you assist in executing our transaction management and keeping all documents up-to-date and according to compliance.
  • Throughout, your focus is always on the qualitative and ethical standards of ING, actively contributing to maintaining our impeccable reputation.
  • Our common goal: to equip you with excellent expertise in 36 months so that you can decide which area within our CM&A teams you would like to choose.

  • Successful Bachelor's or Master's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics or any other relevant field
  • At least three years experience in banking (as an analyst, working student or intern in a relevant area) or any other relevant environment in the finance industry
  • Ideally, relevant software or programming skills, e.g. Python, VBA, Bloomberg or S&P Capital IQ
  • CFA Level 1, experience working / studying abroad and with relevant applications like MergerMarket, Eikon, Orbis, Gain.Pro, think-cell, etc. is a plus
  • Strong analytical skills paired with quality awareness
  • Advanced expertise in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Good presentation & communication skills, a hands-on mentality, and solution-oriented thinking
  • Enthusiastic team player and multitasking talent
  • Very good proficiency in both German and English, both spoken and written
