What will you do?
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Head of Project Delivery to lead our project management teams across multiple regions in Europe. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful execution of projects, driving operational excellence, advancing practices and ways of working and fostering a culture of collaboration. Our new Head of Project Delivery will be part of the Region Europe's Management Committee.

The Team
The Project Delivery team are responsible for Avaloq's project business across Europe. Our team consists of experienced Project Managers and Project Management Office professionals who successfully implement customer projects across the entire process chain. In addition to introducing Avaloq to new customers, we are implementing new requirements and extensions to existing Avaloq installations for our existing customers. In doing so, we act as a link between the European and global Avaloq units involved and as an interface to the customer. The satisfaction of our customers is our drive, which we ensure through professional project management in an agile environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and oversee the project delivery function across multiple regions in the Business Area ‘Region Europe'
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget
  • Develop and manage senior and key client relationships in the context of project deliveries
  • Develop and implement best practices in project management methodologies and processes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align project objectives with business goals
  • Mentor and develop project managers and teams to enhance performance and professional growth
  • Manage stakeholder relationships, ensuring clear communication and expectations
  • Identify and mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle
  • Monitor and report on project performance, providing insights and recommendations to senior leadership

Qualifications
  • 8+ years of proven experience in software project management, ideally in the financial services sector
  • Excellent client management and development skills
  • Multiple years of experience in leading teams and motivating colleagues
  • Outstanding structuring, negotiation and problem-solving skills paired with strong technical expertise
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies
  • Hands-on mentality, healthy pragmatism and customer orientation, able to balance strategy and operations
  • Excellent business understanding and high affinity for digital solutions in the financial services industry
  • Fluent in English; additional EU languages are a plus

It would be a real bonus if you have:
  • Knowledge of the Avaloq product suite
  • University degree in computer science, business informatics, or business administration with IT relevance
