The Head of GEA Academy - GEA Group (w/m/d) is a strategic role that will shape the educational backbone of our organization. Reporting to the Head of the Center of Expertise, your leadership will be instrumental in pioneering transformative learning initiatives that catalyze organizational growth. You will spearhead the formation of a cutting-edge Corporate Academy, embedding a culture of lifelong learning and equipping our workforce for tomorrow's challenges.

  • Craft and execute a long-term, company-wide HR strategy in learning and development

  • Build a leading-edge Corporate Academy that embeds a culture of continuous learning and equips our workforce with the skills and knowledge to thrive in the future of work and strengthen their employability.

  • Create transformative group-wide learning programs that drive high performance, innovation, our company culture and continuous development across the company.

  • Align the Academy's initiatives with GEA's key strategic targets (e. g. Mission 26), fostering a robust learning culture, and achieving operational excellence.

  • Cultivate strong relationships with Top Executive Leaders and stakeholders

  • Envision and strategize for the GEA Academy's future, nurturing its leadership and team


  • Advanced degree (Master's or Doctorate) in Learning and Development, Organizational Development / Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Bring a wealth of experience, with many years leading learning and development, including a significant tenure in a senior executive role.

  • Showcase a successful history within a globally recognized, cutting-edge academy.

  • Demonstrate a track record of crafting and implementing substantial L&D programs and tools.

  • Possess in-depth knowledge of L&D market trends and the ability to integrate these insights into our organization's strategy.

  • Strong leadership and team-building skills with a history of inspiring and developing high-performing teams.

  • Be comfortable engaging at all levels of the organization - from the factories to the management teams
