Are you interested in taking a strategic view on investment portfolios of Life/Health (L/H) entities of Allianz? Do you like working with colleagues across departments and countries by supporting their asset-liability management (ALM)? If so, then become a Member of the Global ALM and Strategic Asset Allocation (SAA) Team in Munich! The job focuses on developing quantitative ALM methods and requires you to consider different KPIs for the development of SAAs.


  • Perform ALM analysis by simulating different scenarios (e.g. changes in asset allocation) in cash-flow models and analyzing the impact on different KPIs (e.g. Solvency-II, IFRS 9/17, S&P capitalization)
  • Develop expertise in L/H actuarial cash-flow models and risk capital framework (esp. Standard Model)
  • Further develop existing analytical models and tools to evaluate investment strategies and asset allocation decisions in L/H portfolios
  • Work together with senior investment colleagues in Operating Entities (e.g. Eastern Europe, Italy) and other teams within AIM, and take ownership for the entities covered by you

  • Key requirements / Skills / Experience

  • Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Actuarial Science or Quantitative subjects
  • 1-3 years of experience in investment function of insurance, banking or asset management company
  • Knowledge of capital markets, financial modeling and portfolio optimization techniques
  • First insights in portfolio steering and constraints management (e.g. Financial Frame)
  • Good IT skills or willingness to build them: knowledge of Excel, Visual Basic, Python or other programming languages is beneficial
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken)
  • Team player with entrepreneurial thinking, good presentation and communication skills
