ISCC – International Sustainability and Carbon Certification is a globally applicable and leading certification system designed to enhance traceable, sustainable, deforestation-free, and climate-friendly supply chains. ISCC certifications are widely recognised and cover sustainable agricultural biomass, biogenic wastes and residues, non-biological renewable materials and recycled carbon-based materials. The development and implementation of different certification standards is ISCC's tool to promote its mission to mitigate climate change and bring more traceability into global markets and supply chains. To date, ISCC holds more than 11,300 valid certificates in 129 countries.

ISCC – International Sustainability and Carbon Certification is one of the leading certification systems for sustainability, traceability and the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions. If you are passionate about sustainability and would like to join our highly motivated and diverse teams to make a difference, we are looking forward to welcoming you as Product Owner IT in our team at the ISCC head office in Cologne.
Your main duties will be:
- You will work closely with internal stakeholders and external development teams to define and refine technical requirements for our audit procedure tool and database applications.
- You will contribute to the design and development of new software products (web-based systems, web services, SQL and FileMaker database systems) related to supply chains and traceability.
- You will identify customer needs and larger business objectives to develop a vision for a product or a feature.
- You will liaise between business, technology, and design teams in every phase of development, from product planning through launch and beyond.
- You will facilitate communication between non-technical team members and software developers to ensure clarity and progress.
- You will maintain existing business systems.
- You will translate business needs into products via generating business requirements documentation and contributing to software specification refinement with vendor.
- You will contribute to product portfolio strategy.
- University degree in computer science, computer engineering or other transferable area.
- Minimum 3-5 years of related professional experience in IT project management, IT business analyst or similar role.
- At least 3 years proven work experience in software development, business requirement gathering and specification, and the development of business use case scenarios.
- Experience designing or working with database applications, possibly FileMaker.
- Deep understanding of product data, associated workflows and product data model mapping.
- Good German skills (minimum B1 level) are required for this role.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in English (at least C1).
- Excellent analytical skills and strategic thinking.
- High degree of initiative and very good decision-making ability combined with an independent working style and pragmatic, hands-on attitude.
- A friendly, committed and dependable team player.
- Experience in certification systems or auditing procedures is a plus.
